A WOMAN has been overwhelmed with the support she has received after she created mini sculptures of local Neston pubs and posted them online.
Jennine Hill, a teacher from Neston, has always enjoyed doing creative things.
Speaking to the Globe, Jennine said: “I was in hobbycraft one day and there was clay for sale, so I bought some to do something with it.
“It was a rainy day and I wanted to keep myself occupied so as my thoughts often do, they went straight to pubs!”
Jennine created her first replica of Neston pub The Harp Inn in June.
She added: “I live on my own and so I try to keep myself busy and not sit in front of the TV. It’s definitely a mental health booster.”
Jennine posted a picture of her mini pubs on a local community group and has received a huge response.
She said: “I am continually surprised that people are asking me if they can buy them.
“Quite a few people have private messaged me saying they want one because they go to these pubs all of the time.
“One even messaged me saying they want one for their friend in Australia.”
Paul Smith, owner of the Brewers Arms asked Jennine if he can purchase one for himself.
He said: “I think it’s a great idea. I am going to ask Jennine to make a few for our local customers.”
Jennine plans to create more local pubs, with her next project being the Seven Stars in Thornton Hough.
She added: “I would like to start doing more buildings that are quite interesting. I would like to do my little bungalow.”
