THE date for Nisha Katona’s new ITV TV programme has been confirmed.
Mowgli’s Nisha Katona will host a new TV series called Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen from her home in Wirral.
In September last year, it was announced that Katona would front the new series which has been commissioned for ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
The Mowgli Street Food restaurant founder will welcome viewers into her home as she prepares some of her favourite dishes using ingredients from local suppliers and her own garden.
Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen will be a 10 x 60’ series and will launch on Saturday, February 8 at 11.40am on ITV and STV.
Posting on Instagram, Nisha Katona said: “My exciting announcement. Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen starts 8 February on ITV! What a preposterous blessing to have ITV so kindly trust me with my dream cooking show.
“My most delicious, simplest recipes are set in the natural chaos of my Wirral farmstead with my four legged and two legged family where I celebrate everything local and life in the back yard.
“Building five restaurants last year for Mowgli Street Food while also juggling a busy home and family meant I had to choose to bid fond farewell to my life on Great British Menu and I shall miss the crew and the screaming with laughter with @cheftomkerridge @edgamblecomedy and the epic heart that is @andioliver.
“How wonderful to be able to step out in faith and know that as one door shuts another will open-this time onto lush green pastures.”
