A MAN has been arrested after a spate of cars were smashed in Neston.
Over the past 24 hours, officers have received six reports of cars being damaged in Neston.
These have included, broken wing mirrors and a smashed rear window.
Following the reports, officers investigating have arrested a 22-year-old local man on suspicion of criminal damage.
The man is currently in custody, assisting officers with their enquiries.
Sergeant Joanne Fletcher, of the Western Area Investigation team, said: “Incidents of this nature cause concern within the local community and I would like to reassure residents, that we are treating these allegations seriously.
“A 22-year-old man is currently in custody and, as part of our ongoing enquires, we are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid our investigation.
“The same goes for anyone with any video footage of the incidents.”
