Zippo’s Circus is heading for the Wirral with a brand-new 2023 show titled Nomads! celebrating the circus’s nomadic way of life. The giant circus will be here for the very first time! The Big Top goes up at The Dips, Coastal Drive, New Brighton CH45 3QW for performances from Wednesday 16th to Sunday 20th August.
See circus website www.zippos.co.uk for show times and Discount tickets.
Generations of artists have wandered from town to town to entertain and enthral people. Headlining the show are the Temujin Troupe – special guests from the Mongolian Steppes. They perform hand voltige, skipping and aerial acts. Mongolia is one of the last places where a nomadic culture is the norm. Nearly half the country’s population lives this lifestyle.
The 2023 show also has acts returning by popular demand including the legendary motorbike Globe of Death from Brazil. There’s also fast juggling, knife throwing and whip cracking from the Czech Republic, and fearless feats of daredevil aerial artistry from the UK’s Jackie. Audiences always love the high-energy acrobatics from the Kenyan Timbuktu Tumblers, and we have a thrilling Wheel of Death act from Colombia.
Our international cast continues with a breathtakingly elegant performance on a vertical pole from Moroccan-born Ibrahim. Ludvick from the Czech Republic has a fantastic Rola Rola act, there’s nail-biting Swinging Trapeze featuring Alexander from Spain, plus Ukrainian dancers Diana and Sophia.
UK comedy star Whimmie Walker will get everyone laughing. And last, but by no means least, audiences adore the acrobatics, aerial acts and comedy of the inspirational Brazilian artist Paulo Dos Santos. Despite the challenge of standing at just over one metre tall, he always delivers a sensational display of skill and daring.
Join the Zippos Circus troupe of nomads in a delightful, fast-paced show.
