A WOMAN with a "love for flowers" is opening her first florist in Wirral.

Kayleigh Forshaw, from Ellesmere Port, has been a florist for 15 years.

After doing Art and Design at college, she fell into floristry after doing a course in it, and her "passion came from there".

The 36-year-old has worked all over the country but has decided to open up her own business 'Happy Bloom' in Bromborough, on the New Chester Road.

Speaking to the Globe, she said: "I've always been quite artistic and creative. I love flowers and I'm also passionate about the retail side of things.

"In the climate we are in now, shopping in person is becoming a little less popular, so I have always stuck at being a retail florist.

"There are other retail florists around but my vibe is very bright and fresh and not your typical florist."

Kayleigh explained that she is trying to "bring something different" to Wirral.

She added: "I do pretty much everything. There will be flowers, plants and gifts in the shop and I have a workshop space where I'll be doing seasonal workshops throughout the year.

"My work is a bright cheerful vibe, which is where the name 'Happy Bloom' came from. The name goes with the bright and uplifting feel of the shop."

When asked her favourite flower, Kayleigh said it is "so hard to pick" but she "loves the Spring season and tulips".

Happy Bloom will be open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm.
