A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following an incident on a bridge above the M53 earlier this evening (Monday, November 14).
Emergency services were called at 6.20pm to a bridge on Mount Road close to junction four of the M53, following concern for the safety of a woman.
Police attended and the woman has now been taken to hospital.
Roads in the area had been closed as a precaution while emergency services dealt with the incident and have now reopened.
