A MAN has admitted hurling homophobic abuse at a police officer during an incident at Wirral custody suite.
Appearing at Wirral Magistrates Court, Terrence Craven, 33, pleaded guilty to a charge of using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour to cause harassment / alarm / distress during the incident on October 26 2024.
Craven, of Alexandra Road, Birkenhead, was fined £900 and ordered to pay £50 compensation to the officer.
He will also pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £360.
