Wirral Globe dog of the week: Toby needs a new home

MEET our dog of the week, Toby, who is hoping to get the new year off to a great start by finding a forever home.

The 11-month old Bulldog Cross is currently being looked after by the team at Dogs Trust Merseyside.

Toby is full of fun and very friendly so the team at Dogs Trust Merseyside would love to find this young boy a home where he can reach his full potential.

The staff say he is silly, affectionate and guaranteed to brighten any day. He is curious and loves to say hello to everyone and every dog. He is, however, very boisterous so the team believe it’s best that for the time being he is the only dog in the home, but he would love to have four-legged friends when he’s out and about.

Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: “We defy anyone not to be absolutely charmed by this boy!

"Unfortunately, he has hip dysplasia, but we are really hoping that won’t deter people from giving him a forever home.

"He’s on anti-inflammatory medication and as long as he has the chance to rest indoors, he’s fine. He loves playing and it doesn’t slow him down.

"Toby can live with high school aged children but needs to be the only pet as he is so boisterous."
