We want to hear from you after Everton FC were deducted 10 points after being found guilty of a Premier League financial breach.

Blues chiefs dispute claims by the Premier League the club has not acted with the “utmost good faith” over its finances – arguing it has been fully transparent with league officials. There is also frustration that the club has been hit with a sporting sanction – one that sees the club drop into the relegation zone – for what is considered an accounting issue by Goodison insiders.

Though the frustration doesn't end there, with Blues fans branding the punishment as "extremely harsh" and unfair. Reds fans have also had their say on the situation, slamming the decision as "disgusting" on social media.

Those include mayor Steve Rotheram, who took to X/Twitter to voice his concerns. He said: "This is an excessive and grossly unfair punishment for a single charge – and makes a rod for the Premier League's back in future.

"I'll be supporting the club in their appeal and writing to the Premier League to ask them to rescind it. This is about fairness, not partisan rivalry."
