IN these unprecedented times, as people get used to a 'new normal' way of life, it is always nice to receive positive feedback from the community… as a letter from Globe deliverer Louise Johnstone shows.
The lockdown is in its seventh week, as a result of social distancing measures imposed because of the coronavirus crisis, and people are having to spend a lot of time in doors.
But our deliverers are out each week.
And people still want a copy of the paper through their doors.
According to Louise, from Wallasey, the response from readers has been positive.
She writes: "I hope that you are all well and safe.
"I just wanted to say that when I heard that we were to continue delivering the Globe during lockdown I was unsure how people would react.
"However I thought it was worth mentioning that I have only had a positive response.
"People have been coming out of their houses and stopping me on the street to thank me for continuing to deliver their free paper.
"So well done and keep up the good work!"
We would love to hear from others who are working either as a Globe distributor or as a delivery worker in the borough.
