May 15, 2024

People in Liverpool and beyond basked in temperatures of up to 24C last weekend as Merseyside experienced its first "mini" heatwave of 2024.

The region's beaches were packed on Saturday, May 11, as families soaked up some sun and splashed in the sea. In recent days, though, the mercury has dropped, and things have felt noticeably cooler.

Meteorologists at Accuweather predict temperatures will reach 19C in Liverpool today, however it's set to stay cloudy, and with a "brief shower or two". We can also expect lows of 10C.

Tomorrow (Thursday) should feel similar, though with some sunny spells in the morning, and on Friday we can expect highs of 19C also, but with some showers in the afternoon, and expected lows of 11C.

On Saturday, however, we can expect maximum temperatures that feel like 23C, with sunny spells. There'll be a shower "in spots" on Sunday morning, according to Accuweather, but highs of 20C that feel more like 21C.

And on Monday it is predicted to be "pleasant" with "periods of sun", and "real feel" highs of 24C. Accuweather experts then predict a warm and dry day on Tuesday, May 21, with highs of 19C that should feel more like 23C, and a similar but slightly cooler day on Wednesday, May 22, with maximum temperatures that feel like 21C.
