TRAFFIC has cleared after a crash in the Wallasey tunnel.
There were long delays this morning (Thursday, November 16) after a multi-vehicle crash in Wallasey tunnel.
One lane was closed due to an accident into town from Wallasey to Liverpool.
Police advised drivers to take alternative routes to Liverpool via Birkenhead Queensway Tunnel.
At the time, a spokesperson for Merseytravel said: “We are currently experiencing heavy congestion in the Kingsway tunnel due to a multi-vehicle RTC. We advise to use the Queensway tunnel until the congestion has cleared.”
A spokesperson for Merseytravel told the Globe that the accident has now been cleared and the tunnels are operating as normal.
