LOCAL performers and a huge funfair were among the attractions at the New Brighton Summer Festival.
Taking place in The Dips from Thursday to Sunday it promised to "bring seaside town vibes" back to the area.
The four-day family festival, was, according to the organisers: "jam-packed with an insane lineup of free entertainment and loads of amazing local traders".

Master of Ceremonies was Wirral’s own The Moaning Bible. There were also appearances from Mr Tumble Liverpool, Wirral Rock Choir and local dance troupes.
Street Performers include the Spiderman Stunt Show, Hungry Dinos and Peacock Cirque.
There was also a 'huge funfair', pet village, independent market, street food village, arts and crafts stalls, sensory zone and story tent and donkey rides.

The event was organised by Kate, a Wallasey girl who set up Yay Wirral two years ago and produced the event along with her 'amazing partner in crime' Jess from @thissideofthewater.
In an Instagram post, Kate commented: "Wow wow wow! Thank you to every single one of you who took part in or attended our event over the last few days.
"We are feeling completely overwhelmed!
"We approached the council with our detailed pitch last year and luckily they believed in us and not only approved but supported our plans through the whole process.

"We had no funding whatsoever and relied solely on pitch fees from the amazing traders who took part to finance this event.
"We began from Wallasey outwards sourcing local traders whom we already know and love and were also lucky enough to be able to welcome a smaller amount of traders from outside Wirral to pop up at our event.
"Honestly, this time last week I was petrified that no one would come or no one would like it.
"But now here I am, reading all of your amazing comments feeling really proud of myself and Jess and I can't thank you guys enough.
"Endless thanks to our amazing MC, stage manager and general superfan @themoaningbible.
"We cannot wait to be back next year!"
Among those entertaining the crowds was Spider-Man Party Entertainer.
He told the Globe: "Myself and Ghost-Spider would say the New Brighton Summer Festival was an extraordinary fun experience.
"The whole atmosphere was community spirited and inclusive and for us meeting so many lovely families was the icing on the cake"
