A terrifying lightning strike struck a house during a huge storm in North Wales.
As most of the North West, including Merseyside, continues to be battered by extreme weather, the frightening moment was captured on camera.
During a brief break from the rain and thunder, one woman near Wrexham was using her phone to capture footage of a rainbow from her window.
According to North Wales Live, Donna Tizzard from Gwersyllt was talking about the rainbow when the lightning came down onto the roof of a house further down the road.
Donna can be heard screaming and running from the window as the dramatic scene unfolded.
It appeared not to have caused any damage as in a statement, a spokesperson for the fire service confirmed they were called to an incident in Sunny View, Gwersyllt just after 8pm.
They later said that they could not find any fire or damage and classed the call as a "false alarm with good intent".
The incident happened as parts of Merseyside were drenched during heavy downpours late into the evening.
