Suspects named over conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine

Two suspects have been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine.

Darren Spencer, 48, of Regent Road, Vauxhall, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and conspiracy to transfer criminal property (money laundering).

James Roberts, 41, of The Pottery, Melling, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs (heroin and cocaine), class B drugs (amphetamine), and conspiracy to transfer criminal property (money laundering).

Both men were remanded into custody and are due to appear at Wirral Magistrates' Court this morning, Thursday.

The charges form part of Merseyside Police's response to Operation Venetic; a national investigation into the use of EncroChat encrypted mobile devices.
