A man has been charged after a police chase down the M6.
Footage from Wednesday, November 8 showed a wanted man leading police onto the M56 and the M6 before he was forcibly brought to a stop in the middle of the carriageway. He was arrested after a car failed to stop for officers in Warrington.
Paul Rose, of Wythenshawe Road, has now been charged with dangerous driving, using a cloned number plate, and driving without insurance. He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 10 November.

The motorway was closed northbound at J20 just before rush hour, as he sped down the motorway in a black BMW convertible. Officers stopped the vehicle near to junction 20. A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "A man has been charged following an incident on the M6 northbound. Paul Rose, 34, of Wythenshawe Road, Manchester, was arrested on Wednesday 8 November.
"He has since been charged with dangerous driving, using a cloned number plate, and driving without insurance. He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 10 November.
"The charges relate to an incident where police stopped a vehicle near to junction 20 of the M6 northbound on Wednesday 8 November."
