Sainsbury’s, Iceland and Waitrose recall chicken, milk and more

Iceland, Sainsbury's, Co-op and Waitrose have issued a number of product recalls.

Product recalls and safety notices are made by traders about products that have problems which could affect the safety of the consumer.

We've rounded up this week's recalls from major supermarkets.

Items include chicken, milk and kale.

Iceland

Iceland has recalled their own brand Chip Shop Curry Chicken Breast Toppers and Southern Fried Chicken Popsters because salmonella has been found in the products.

Waitrose

Waitrose & Partners are recalling Waitrose & Partners Chicken Satay with Sweet Chilli Sauce.

Waitrose & Partners Chicken Satay

This is because an incorrect dip has been packed in the product resulting in fish and peanuts not being mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to fish and/or peanuts.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's has taken the precautionary step of recalling by Sainsbury's semi-skimmed less than 2% fat 1 litre UHT milk because of possible microbiological contamination that could lead to spoilage.

Co-operative Food is recalling Co-op Sliced Curly Kale because packs may contain thistle (spiky weeds). The possible presence of thistle makes this product unsafe to eat.
