COASTGUARD rescue officers were in action earlier this morning (Sunday, February 23) after a vehicle was stuck in the mud on a Wirral beach.
Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted to the scene, approximately 200 meters out Hoylake Beach. just after midnight.
On arrival, its officers checked the welfare of the vehicle's occupants.
Recovery services successfully extracted the vehicle off the beach and coastguard provided safety cover, due to the mud.
A statement on Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team's Facebook page read: "To ensure the safety and protection of the environment, please be aware that vehicle access on Wirral beaches is strictly regulated – permits are required, as well as adherence to designated slipways.
