A man was rushed to hospital following a crash between a car and police van.
Just before 7.35am on Sunday, November 19, a marked police van, which was responding to an emergency, was travelling along Liverpool Road in Huyton when it was involved in a crash with a blue Renault Kadjar at the junction with Blue Bell Lane near to the Bluebell Lane Medical Practice.
The driver of the Renault, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service for treatment where his condition is described as stable. The police officers in the vehicle were assessed by paramedics at the scene.

Liverpool Road westbound was closed between Longview Lane and Blue Bell Lane, where a cordon was in place. Cars travelling down Blue Bell Lane had to turn around due to the incident. The road has since re-opened.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing and Merseyside Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash, or who has dashcam footage of the crash, to come forward.
