A RESTAURANT in Bromborough are celebrating their 10th anniversary.
Pesto, located at The Dibbinsdale Inn, was officially opened by the Mayor of Wirral on March 14 2013.
The Dibbinsdale originally dates back to 1890. At the time it was two houses, which were built for the senior managers of the shipping companies to live with their families.
In the 1950s it was turned into a pub by a local Italian resident who named it the Blyth Lodge.
Then, in 1990 it was purchased by Thwaites Brewery, and years later opened as the Pesto restaurant.
Over the years the restaurant has celebrated a number awards. In 2019 they took home the bronze award for 'best restaurant' in Wirral at the Wirral Life Magazine awards.
To celebrate its 10 years in Wirral, the restaurant will be hosting a special wine-tasting event to commemorate the milestone weekend.

An expert sommelier from wine partner Bouinot wines will be at the event and they will introduce an array of wines and showcase some fine Italian produce with some snacks.
The tasting will be £15 per ticket and all tables will have the opportunity to dine, during or after the tasting.
On Saturday, March 11 the restaurant will be joined by the Mayor of Wirral for dinner and photos 10 years on to celebrate the momentous occasion.
The restaurant is also inviting the local community to come and join them in the celebrations.
Manager of the restaurant, Mike Hirst said: "It’s a fantastic achievement for the restaurant to be at the heart of the community for so long.
"We want to say thank you to all the customers that have joined us over the years. It’s a real milestone and we hope to enjoy many more happy years here in Bromborough."
