Paddleboarder whose body was found at reservoir had 'the kindest heart and soul'
The body of personal trainer Simon Daniels was recovered from Dovestone Reservoir yesterday

Dozens of heartfelt tributes were paid to missing Cheshire paddleboarder Simon Daniels whose body was recovered from Dovestone Reservoir on Wednesday. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the end of the extensive search operation which began on Sunday when two people got into difficulty on the water.
A woman was rescued and treated for hypothermia and shock but the search continued for Simon who was from Winsford. Sadly, despite the tireless efforts of emergency services, GMP announced this body was recovered at 6:15 pm on Wednesday. Since then, tributes have poured in on social media, with one gym-goer saying: "I still can't believe this is real. I keep expecting to arrive at the gym to hear your voice a mile off and be greeted with one of those massive hugs which made all your problems disappear. The absolute life and soul of Bodytech Winsford. You made it so much more than just another gym.
"I loved coming to train when it was half buil. You were permanently covered in black paint but so excited for what you were creating. I never thought I'd be missing those 'Simon says' Metcon finishers; catching your eye with a cheeky grin while you looked round to make sure you hadn't actually finished us all off."
