Rock n roll
MIKE Byrne and the Sunrockers are back at Heswall British Legion a week on Wednesday (February 5), promising another great night of Rock and Roll.
Taking place at the venue Pensby Road in Heswall, doors open at 7.30 pm. Admission £5 on door.
Charity gig
LIKE a hurricane, West Kirby's Rock and Blues band are playing a gig in their hometown next week.
They are at Westbourne Hall in West Kirby on Friday, February 7 from 8pm-11pm In aid of Westbourne Hall Community Trust and Friends of Ashton Park.
Tickets, £10 at the Waverley Newsagents, Banks Road and Westbourne Hall (11-14.00) weekdays. £10 on the doors which are open on the night at 7.15 pm. There will be a licensed cash bar and raffle
Race for life
ENTRIES are now being taken for this year's Wirral Race For Life events in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The Globe-backed fundraiser, taking place in Birkenhead Park on Sunday May 18, is open to people of all ages and abilities. People can choose from 3k, 5k and 10k events. There is also a chance to take part in Pretty Muddy, a 5k mud-splattered obstacle course, and there’s a Pretty Muddy Kids option.

THEATRE4ALL.NW's production of Ben Crocker's rock n roll pantomime Beauty and The Beast will be staged at Neston Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday, March 1 and 2. The Saturday performance starts 7pm, with Sunday show at 2.30pm

A SELECTION of 'glamorous' evening wear dating from the 1920s to the present day is on show at a Wirral art gallery.
Showcasing 20 outfits, Bedazzled – on display at the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight until January 26 celebrates 'the enduring popularity of beaded garments and explores the skills involved in making them'.
