No new coronavirus deaths in Merseyside hospitals

For a second Saturday in a row Merseyside's hospitals have reported no further coronavirus deaths in the region.

The Merseyside region has suffered hundreds of coronavirus deaths in our hospitals throughout this pandemic but the trend has now improved greatly.

Today's no deaths figure only covers deaths recorded at hospitals and does not include deaths in other settings such as their own homes and care homes. They reflect when deaths were recorded, rather than when they actually took place.

The North West as a whole reported three new deaths from Covid-19 across the region.
