There have been no further coronavirus deaths recorded across any of the North West's hospitals.
Today's latest update from NHS England said that across English hospitals, there had been 15 further deaths recorded in people with Covid-19.
This figure does not include deaths in other settings – such as care homes or at home deaths – and experts always warn that figures are lower immediately after a weekend because of a lag in reporting.
A statement today from NHS England said: "A further 15 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 28,904.
"Patients were aged between 42 and 93 years old. All patients had known underlying health conditions.
"Their families have been informed."
No Covid-19 deaths in North West hospitals of course means no further deaths in the hospitals covering Merseyside and our wider region.
