Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are hiring with a host of jobs on offer for those looking for a career change.

Advertising across five positions, the force is looking for a range of different skills in each position.

Salaries range from £19,698 to £35,745, with both entry level and senior roles on offer.

Fire Safety Auditors

With an annual salary of up to £27,041, the force is looking to take on a number of Fire Safety Auditors.

The full-time job will see the successful candidates working across all districts of Merseyside and includes "generous flexible working arrangements".

On the job advert, the force said: "Fire Safety Auditors carry out Inspections on premises regulated by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Authority.

"They look to support those people responsible for fire safety and engage effectively with businesses ensuring that they comply with fire safety legislation."

Fire Safety Inspectors

Offering a salary of up to £29,577, the force is also looking for Fire Safety Inspectors.

Like the above role, the job will be full-time and based across all districts of Merseyside.

The job advert reads: "Fire Safety Inspectors complete Inspections of all regulated premises including those incorporating fire engineering principles.

" They can investigate and report on breaches of fire safety legislation for the commencement of legal prosecutions.

"They can report on submissions in liaison with building control bodies and advise on fire safety issues relating to the construction, demolition and/or refurbishment of regulated premises. They are qualified to take enforcement action for a breach of fire safety legislation.

UK ISAR Administrator

A fixed-term job with a salary of up to £19,698 is also being advertised.

The role is full-time and located at the Service Headquarters, in Bootle. The force said it is looking for someone who has experience in the field of business, training or exercise and has strong customer service skills.

The job advert reads: "This position will play an integral role in supporting the high profile UK ISAR [International Search and Rescue] Team.

"Key responsibilities include; assisting the Administration Officer with the development and maintenance of the UK ISAR operational equipment cache, supporting the team to achieve and maintain operational preparedness to support deployments on behalf of the ULK Government and assisting in the processes for training, assurance and planning,

Facilities Manager

A more senior role, the emergency service is also looking to take on a Facilities Manager.

According to the job advert: "The successful applicant will manage the total FM contract including supervising the progress of work to an acceptable standard, obtaining competitive quotations/tenders as required, ensuring at all times that this brings value for money for the Authority.

"He/she will have experience of managing outsourced facilities management contracts, in addition to managing revenue / capital budgets. Plus an understanding of and commitment to improving environmental performance."

The salary offered is up to £35,745 and it is a full-time role. The job will also be located at Service Headquarters, Bridle Road, in Bootle.

Application Development Manager

Another senior role on offer is the Application Development Manager.

Leading and managing a development team, the position involves planning and making sure the best practice is followed.

The job advert read: "You are enthusiastic and passionate about leading a Development Team to successfully deliver applications that improves the safety of Firefighters and the public.

"You are a master of your own trade and a jack of some. You thrive in a busy, hands-on environment where you can put your superb communication and managerial skills into action."
