Man seriously injured after crashing into tree
Emergency services are on the scene

A man has been left seriously injured after crashing into a tree on his bike. Emergency services were called to Green Leach Lane in St Helens at 5.10 today, February 22, after reports of a crash.
The man, who is aged in his 20s and was using a pedal bike, has been taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. It is not believed that any other vehicle or person was involved.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that emergency services are currently in St Helens following a serious collision involving a cyclist today, Saturday 22 February.
"At around 5.10pm, it was reported that a man aged in his 20s was on a pedal bike when he collided with a tree on Green Leach Lane. The man has been taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident, but it’s not believed that any other vehicle or person was involved in the collision."
