THREE people were arrested after a man was attacked during an attempted burglary in Wallasey.
Police were called at 8.55am on Sunday (February 23) to reports of an incident at a property on Rake Lane in Wallasey.
The man in his 50s was reportedly assaulted and suffered swelling and bruising to his face.
Merseyside Police said a 44-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating and assault with intent to resist arrest.
A 34-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and a 37 year-old woman on suspicion of aggravated burglary and assaulting occasioning actual bodily harm.
All three have been bailed pending further enquiries.
