A MAN has been charged after an elderly woman’s home was broken into in the middle of the night.
At around 12.30am on Wednesday, May 31, it was reported that a burglar had broken into a woman’s house on Pemberton Road, Upton and stole valuables. It was also alleged that he verbally abused the woman before fleeing the scene.
Anthony Shackleton, 33, of Queens Drive, Prenton has been charged with burglary dwelling – theft/attempted theft with violence and sexual assault on a female.
He is due to appear at Wirral Adult remand court this morning (Friday, June 30).
