Live updates as emergency services descend on indoor play park

Emergency services were called to an indoor play park today following reports a slide deflated trapping children.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue and North West Ambulance vehicles were seen parked outside Adventure Land, on Marine Promenade, in New Brighton.

What we know so far

  • At 12.39pm emergency services were called to Adventureland in New Brighton
  • An inflatable activity inside the play area had deflated while children were playing on it
  • Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene at 12.46pm and confirmed to the ECHO all person have been accounted for
  • We are currently awaiting details from eyewitnesses

What Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service has said

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident today at Marine Promenade, New Brighton.

Crews were alerted at 12.39pm and on scene at 12.46pm. Two fire engines and the search and rescue team attended alongside North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).

Crews arrived to find an inflatable slide had deflated. Firefighters entered and confirmed than all persons were accounted for and provided general assistance.

Crews left the scene at 1.34pm.
