A house was engulfed by flames tonight in a massive blaze that left firefighters fearing the property could collapse.
Crews from four fire engines were sent to tackle the blaze after being alerted at around 7.14pm on Monday, May 31.
The property, which is believed to currently be under construction, is located on Gerrards Lane in Halewood
There are no reports of any injuries and a spokeswoman from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed fire crews were at the scene within six minutes.
A Merseyside Fire and Rescue service spokesperson told the ECHO: "Crews were alerted at 7.14pm and on scene at 7.20pm.
"Four fire engines and the combined platform ladder (CPL) were in attendance at the height of the fire.
"The fire involves a detached property that is believed to be under construction.
"Firefighters are fighting the fire externally due to the structural integrity of the building. The CPL is being used as a water tower.
"The incident is ongoing but has been scaled down to two fire engines and the CPL."
