Friends actor David Schwimmer has paid tribute to his late co-star Matthew Perry who sadly died last month.

Matthew, who played Chandler Bing in the iconic sitcom, was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, October 28. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a radio call just after 4pm on Saturday for a death investigation of a man in his 50s.

David, who played Ross Geller opposite Matthew in Friends for a decade, shared a photo of the two of them in character in a poignant Instagram post on Wednesday.

He said: "Matty, thank you for ten incredible years of laughter and creativity. I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and delivery.

"You could take a straight line of dialogue and bend it to your will, resulting in something so entirely original and unexpectedly funny it still astonishes. And you had heart. Which you were generous with, and shared with us, so we could create a family out of six strangers.

"This photo is from one of my favourite moments with you. Now it makes me smile and grieve at the same time. I imagine you up there, somewhere, in the same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around."

He then quoted a familiar line frequently used by Chandler, adding: "'Could there BE any more clouds?'"
