Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd said he called in sick to work after noticing something while he took a shower.
The David Platt actor, 34, revealed he had been away from work in the latest instalment of the Sofa Cinema Club – which he fronts alongside co-stars Ben Price (Nick Platt) and Colson Smith (Craig Tinker).
He revealed his year had started on a sour note, and it all began when he used some new Christmas presents in the shower.

Jack said: "I was in the shower Monday morning and I can't smell the shampoo and I go, 'This is weird.'
"Shower gel – nothing. It's a box set, Hanni's mum got me it for Christmas.
"So I'm using that and I can't smell it, but I've never used it before so I don't know whether it's just s**t or I can't smell it."
He added: "So I get out and go, 'I'll clean my teeth now.' Can't taste any toothpaste or mouthwash. And I go, 'Ooh, this is a big one'."
After being advised to take a lateral flow test by Corrie bosses, Jack explained that it returned a positive result.
Jack had to stay home from work, but thankfully he has now recovered.
The TV star joked: "I can taste my shower gel, and I can smell my cooking.
"Everything's back… Other than the smell and taste, I wouldn't have known that I got it."
