CCTV footage shows a man wanted in connection with the alleged theft of hundreds of pounds from at a Wirral post office.

It was reported that at around 9.40am on Thursday, October 5 a man entered Greasby Road Post Office and distracted the cashier, before leaving the store with £400 he had stolen.
Detectives believe the man pictured in CCTV footage could have information that may help with enquiries.

Detective Constable Andrew Penn said: "This was a serious crime that has caused a shopworker and possibly other post offices in the area to be targeted.

“Business thefts are not a victimless crime and have a huge impact on the stores, shoppers and staff involved who are just doing their job.

"We are determined to find the offender so that other businesses in the area are aware of these crimes taking place and are not targeted in this way.

“We think the man pictured may hold vital information so I would encourage him, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward as soon as possible.”
