A 12-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.
At around 8.30am on Monday, March 10 police were called to reports of a collision on Overpool Road, near to Moston Way, in Ellesmere Port.
Officers attended the scene and found that the incident involved a silver Hyundai i20 Active and a pedal bike.
The boy was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital as a precautionary measure, and did not sustain any injuries.
The driver of the car, a 75-year-old local woman, was uninjured.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and video footage following a collision.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
“The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
