Liverpool taxi firm ComCab is working hard to make life easier for key workers and businesses during the coronavirus lockdown.
They have speeded up the process for setting up accounts and now have contactless payments in their fleet of taxis.
ComCab taxis are all Hackneys, purpose built with a partition which allows a distance between passengers and drivers and offer a reliable service, all vital during the current situation.
Claire Langrell, ComCab sales manager, said safety first is vital for the company and their drivers while helping the Liverpool community manage in these testing times.
She added: “ComCab is very much still open for business. Clearly we have seen a downturn in business due to the current situation and the closure of Liverpool’s entertainment, hospitality and leisure sector.
“However we are aware of the important role we have to play in getting key workers to and from work, in helping pharmacies and shops get deliveries out and helping people get food and other essential supplies to the vulnerable.
“All our taxis are Hackney cabs, the partitions allow social distancing, they are spacious and the drivers are meticulous about cleaning. We have also recently introduced contactless payment providing an even safer way to pay for people who don’t have accounts.”
ComCab have seen new contracts set up as a result of the coronavirus crisis with pharmacies and other businesses and organisations to ensure staff can get to work in key worker roles.
They have introduced a same day service in setting up accounts to help people who need to get moving as soon as possible.
