AN investigation is underway following the 'unexplained' death of a man in Wirral.
At 6.44pm on Wednesday (March 12) police received a report from North West Ambulance Service that a man had been found dead at an address on Oxford Road in Liscard.
Eyewitnesses have reported on social media that forensic officers have been working on nearby Demesne Street since Thursday while a number of police vehicles remain at the scene.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances into the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
"The next-of-kin have been informed and being supported by specially trained officers.
"A man and a woman, both aged 22, from Seacombe are helping police with enquiries".
