A road was taped off this evening after a car crashed into a garden. The crash happened on Aintree Road in Bootle just before 7.30pm on Sunday, February 23. A large police cordon was in place east of the Aintree Road roundabout, with traffic blocked in both directions on Aintree Road and Hornby Road between the roundabout and Rice Lane.

The crash happened outside a house on the corner of Aintree Road and Connolly Avenue. When the ECHO went to the scene this evening, a black Audi was on its roof in the driveway of the home. Debris was scattered on the ground nearby.
