In Cheshire, Warrington and Halton Hospital Trust recorded two new deaths, meaning 33 people have now died there after testing positive for Covid-19.

These figures refer only to the people who have died in hospitals after being tested for coronavirus, and do not include deaths in the community in settings such as care homes.

The numbers in the NHS's daily updates do not necessarily mean the patients have died that particular day, rather that the deaths have newly been recorded as related to coronavirus.
